Aarush’s First Birthday

Aarush is one year old now and we recently celebrated his first birthday.

The Cake

Parents want to make this occasion to be a big and memorable one. We also wanted the celebrations to be memorable but in a different manner. We were not in the favour of organizing a grand party for celebrating the birthday. Because we consider this a way of making public relations nothing else. We really wanted to do something great rather than grand. So we decide to celebrate our betu’s birthday in an orphanage.

A little information about the venue: The name of the orphanage is ‘Niradhar Balsangopan Anath Ashram’ and it is located in Dapodi, Pune. The orphanage has around 35 children of age group 1 year to 13 year or so.

After deciding what we need to do, it was the time to organize the event. We talked to Mrs. Malan, who is the caretaker of the orphanage. She suggested us various ways to contribute such as giving groceries to them, arranging lunch or dinner for them, taking them to movies et cetera.

We thought if we give groceries to those children, this would hardly make any change in their day to day life, so we reserved this option for next time. We decided to arrange a small snacks party there in the evening around 4PM. We invited some of our close friends. We made the necessary arrangements for the snacks, including cake and cold drinks. We also bought few kilos of biscuits and few hundreds of chocolates for the children.

Our residence is around 14 km from that place. We invited everyone at 4PM hence we reached there before the scheduled time. Almost all invitees reached there within next half an hour. The place was too small to accommodate the children also there were no ceiling fans. We really felt sad about that.

When everyone joined us there, the party started . Albeit we could not interact much with the children as the number of people were more than that can be accommodated, we enjoyed the party. The children enjoyed the snacks as well as the cold drink to the fullest.

Some of my friends also donated few things like blankets, money et cetera. Some of them also brought chocolates for the children.

We spent around 3 hours there. We had ordered the snacks more than required (We realized that later), so we had left all the stuff there only.

For us it was a great achievement to organize such an event successfully. We sincerely thank all our friends who came from different part of the city and made Aarush’s first birthday celebration a memorable one.

My Favorite Biscuits

I just remembered once incidence of my college days so thought to share it. Milk cream biscuits are my favorite, especially if they are from Britannia. One of my friends got hospitalized once and I planned to visit him. I had bought two packets of milk cream biscuits for him. When I reached hospital, I had taken out only one packet for him and leaving one for me in my bag. The most interesting thing was, I joined him and shared even that single packet of biscuit with him. He seemed to like that biscuit also because when the biscuits got finished, he told that the biscuits were very nice .

That was me!

I had been to Visakhapatnam few months back for a three day trip. I found the city awesome and a must visit destination for everyone. The city is very neat and clean and has been developed and maintained very well. I guess what you see is what you believe the most, so here are few snaps of Visakhapatnam a.k.a. Two Years @ My Present Company

Last week I have completed two years at my present company. Of course a reason for a blog post. Spent hours to write a great post for my so called achievement. But later when I went through it few times it appeared to me as my emotional outrage. So I thought not to pour my emotions on the blog and express my feelings about my company in least and best possible manner. I have tried many times but in vain. So I finally ended up writing one line for my entire two years of experience.

Lots of learning, no earning, got migraine and asthma (minor as its just a start) as appraisal, so in total the experience was *^%&$^X#. (Please read it as per you vocab and experience.)

It’s been a while since I last posted anything on my blog, it’s not because I have discontinued my writing habits, I’m just such a busy person with the family, my work etc. Also I have been planning to move my blog to wordpress due to some of its cool features. Meet the Techies – Episode 2

Hi Friends,

Welcome back to the second episode of “Meet the Techies”!

Continuing our analysis further we have identified that the introduction of IT culture in the cities has raised the lifestyle and culture of the city. People (Techies of course) have become more advanced and more lavish. What used to be the means of lavishness of their ancestors have become their basic needs. So we found that the meaning of different classes of societies has changed in IT cities. Based on the monthly income we can roughly categorize the various classes of society in the following manner:

Monthly Income Range (Rupees)	Class
Above 2L	Higher class
1.25L – 2L	Higher middle class
80k – 1.25L	Middle class
40k – 80k	Lower middle class
25k – 40k	Lower class
Below 25k	Not allowed to live

In the second part of the article we will talk about a category of techie, which we had missed in the first article. And so we take the privilege to not just name this particular type of techie rather we will write few words in their honor. So friends please welcome the ‘Branded Techie’. We will not utter much about them as it is better to know the reason for them being branded techie from them only. Let’s listen to what they use to say:

“Hey! I lost my Red Tape shoes in the train.”

“Shit Yaar! I forgot to bring my touch screen HTC mobile today.” (How many mobiles do you have?)

“Hi! What you did last weekend? I had done some time pass, did shopping worth Rs 10000 and bought a Lee Cooper Jeans, Nike Shoes….. ” (Me: Wait dear you asked me and explaining your shopping details, this is not done)

“See the pictures taken by my XYZ camera!” (Dear tell me whose pictures are these!)

So by this time you might have identified one branded techie around you, isn’t it? These branded techies remind us about one Santa Banta joke but that we cannot publish here maintaining the decorum of the forum.
